On March 10, 2002, Inland Manor Baptist Church in Hobart held a Dedication Open House for our new building. Inland Manor began as a daughter church of Central Baptist Church in Gary during the 1950's. After constructing our first building in the 1970's the church had economic difficulties and was on missionary status with Baptist Mid-Missions until the early 1980's. Pastor Gerald Titus filled the pulpit at that time. Pastor David Webb served as pastor from 1982-1989. In the late 1990's the government bought the entire subdivision of Inland Manor, for National Lake Shore Park expansion. We relocated to this location in Hobart, IN. The new church facility is located on 21 acres of choice land in a strategically fast-growing area of Hobart/Portage, IN.
Pastor Tim Rumley served as pastor from 1990-2001. The church met in Portage Christian School while they were building the new facility. Pastor Titus returned as pastor from 2001-2004. Pastor Jim Oswalt served as pastor from 2004 - April, 2006. Pastor Wayne Manago joined IMBC as pastor on June 19, 2006. Pastor Manago has 28 years of pastoral experience and is excited about the potential in this region for growth and fruitful ministry.
